FOR GOD AND COUNTRY WE ASSOCIATE OURSELVES TOGETHER FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES: To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to maintain law and order; to foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism; to preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars; to inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation; to combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses; to make right the master of might; to promote peace and goodwill on earth; to safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy; to consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness. COMMANDERS WELCOME MESSAGE: Fellow Legionnaires, In case you have not heard, I was elected as County Commander at the Convention in May. I again want to thank you for your vote of confidence in me and promise to serve you as best I can. I will be publishing a County Newsletter monthly as well as a County Calander of events. I would like to include post events on the calender as well, so if you have any events planned please forward them to me and I will insure they are posted on the calender. Any event sent by the 15th of the month will be included on the calendar issued that month. It is my plan to publish a 3 month rolling calender of Post, County, Department and National events to include, county meetings, due dates for scholarship applications, Americanism submissions, etc. The calendar will be distributed at out county meeting, posted on our web site emailed or sent via postal mail along with the newsletter depending upon your response. Albee Palmiere is our new adjutant, and for those of you who do not know him, he is currently the Commander of Fairlawn Post 171.
