Lenny Free is your new Detachment SAL Commander for 2011-2012

Greetings: I'd like to take this time to talk about my project, Soldiers Angels. It is a volunteer-led non profit 501 (C) (3) organization with the sole mission of aiding and supporting the brave men and women of the military and their families, wherever we raise the flag of the United States of America. They provide Phone Cards, First Response Packs, Snack Packs, Male & Feminine Hygiene Packs as well as Voice-Activated Laptops by speaking into a microphone to stay connected to family, Gaming Systems to help increase motivation and speech recovery and handheld GPS to build self-confidence and independence by compensating for short term memory loss. (www.soldiersangels.org)

It is my wish to provide enough money to purchase several items listed above. A snack Pack is $15.00. For $90.00 a squadron can purchase 6 of them. Male Hygiene Pack's are $20.00, for a $100.00 donation you can purchase 5. Feminine Hygiene Packs are $25.00...for $100.00 you can get 4. The First Response Packs are $56.00. You can get 4 for $ 224.00. The Valour-It Project (laptops, gaming systems and GPS systems) are $800.00. You can combine your donations with other squadrons to purchase 1 or more. Any donations that do not have a specific request will be donated with the intent that Soldiers Angels will place it where it will be needed the most.

3 Laptops, 3 GPS & 3 Gaming Systems @ 800.00 each totals $4,800.00
25 Response Packs @ $56.00 each totals $1,400.00
100 male Hygiene Packs @ $20.00 totals $2,000.00
100 Female Hygiene Packs @ $25.00 totals $2,500.00
100 Snack Packs @ $15.00 totals $1,50.00

Now that's a total of $12,220. There are 169 Squadron in the state of New Jersey and 21 County's. I believe that together we can provide that to the brave men and women of our military that are still fighting or have been wounded in battle.

If you have any questions, please see your area's Detachment's Vice Commander or Commanders Project Chairman, Frank Jiosi Jr. for answers. As always I am available to help as well.

Please make all donations payable to "Bergen County SAL and mail to Commanders Project, 35 River Edge Road, Bergenfield, NJ 07621. On a seperate piece of paper write your squadron number / County name, donations amount and where you would like the money placed. If you would like "Soldiers Angels" to place it where it is needed the most, write General Donation.

Thank You for all your hard work and together I know that we can make this a reality.
